About BRRC Masters
The Buffalo River Rowing Club Masters team rows on the Buffalo river, out of the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association boathouse on Ohio Street. BRRC was formed in 2011 by a group of adult rowers who wanted a team environment to enjoy the sport of rowing together. Since then, the team has grown to nearly 100 members, ranging in age from 21 to 80+.
We are a team that focuses on sportsmanship, teamwork and inclusivity. Above all else, our motto is simply "be nice." We welcome members of all ages and walks of life to join us - whether you've never rowed before or you're a lifelong rower, there is a place for you at BRRC!
In between practices and regattas, we organize team social events and outings to bring our team together and explore the many ways to have fun in Western New York.
Masters rowing is for any adult 21+. We offer training options for competitive rowers and recreation rowers, and everything in between. Practices and regattas are all optional - there is no mandatory attendance, so each member is welcome to commit at any level that fits their schedule. Join us as we row on the beautiful Buffalo river, and stay fit with us year round!
